Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Permanent and Full time position

Basel – Onsite

We’re working with one of the leading financial services companies in Switzerland to look for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer; you will take a comprehensive view of a growing and complex IT landscape. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will enhance development practices, processes, and tooling to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient software delivery.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize shell scripts to streamline CI/CD pipelines
  • Support and enable application deployments through the creation and validation of OpenShift scripts
  • Maintain and improve development environments and tools (build systems, IDEs, containers, etc.)
  • Support development teams throughout the software lifecycle, ensuring alignment with best practices, internal standards, and documentation requirements
  • Configure and fine-tune tools across logging, ETL, API management, and NoSQL environments
  • Analyze and optimize application sizing and performance
  • Conduct root cause analyses to resolve complex technical issues

Your Profile

  • Degree in IT (University or University of Applied Sciences) or equivalent qualification (e.g., apprenticeship or comparable technical education)
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevSecOps role
  • Practical experience with at least one CI/CD solution (e.g., Azure DevOps), as well as Kubernetes (e.g., OpenShift), containerization, and shell scripting
  • Background in software development (experience with Microsoft .NET is an advantage)
  • Experience with at least one of the following technologies: Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or an API management platform
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex system landscapes from a holistic perspective
  • Strong hands-on mentality and solution-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in English
