Our client is seeking a Senior Reinsurance Accountant who is confident working independently, skilled in navigating technical financial matters, and energized by supporting a multifaceted reinsurance environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the full financial close process for reinsurance entities
- Prepare and review financial statements under GAAP frameworks
- Manage technical and operational accounting entries tied to reinsurance activity
- Provide high-quality financial analysis to leadership teams
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to support reporting and analysis
- Work closely with auditors and cross-functional partners
- Contribute to internal control documentation
- Support system implementations and enhancements across financial platforms
- Operate autonomously and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
What You Bring
- 3+ years in insurance or reinsurance experience
- Strong technical accounting background, ideally with exposure to reinsurance or complex financial arrangements
- Familiarity with statutory disclosures, general ledger systems, and control frameworks
- Ability to navigate intricate reinsurance structures and transactions
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
