Job Title: Solutions Architect (Reinsurance)
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Location: Fully Remote or Connecticut (No West Coast)
About the Role
We are working with a leading Reinsurance carrier seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to design and implement robust, scalable solutions that align with business objectives. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in application architecture, integration patterns, and emerging technologies such as AI and Generative AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement application and integration architectures that support business needs.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including solution design and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand vision and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on coding expertise in .NET and C# for proof-of-concepts and solution components.
- Architect and optimize General Ledger functions and related business layers.
- Implement Azure API Management (APIM) and integration architecture solutions.
- Utilize Azure App Insights for monitoring and performance optimization.
- Support data center migration initiatives, ensuring smooth transition of applications and business processes.
- Drive data architecture and data governance strategies.
- Explore and build Generative AI use cases, leveraging LLMs (Large Language Models) for business innovation.
- Ensure compliance with architecture patterns and best practices.
- Create and maintain Excel macros as needed (nice to have).
- Act as a strategic advisor, aligning technology solutions with organizational vision.
Required Skills & Experience
- Reinsurance industry experience is a plus.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in .NET and C# development.
- Experience with application architecture and layered business systems.
- Deep understanding of architecture patterns and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services, including APIM, Integration Architecture, and App Insights.
- Data & AI:
- Knowledge of data architecture and data governance principles.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, including Generative AI and LLMs.
- Business Acumen:
- Ability to understand and align with organizational vision and strategy.
- Experience working with General Ledger functions and financial systems.
- Additional Skills:
- Excel macro development (nice to have).
