Tax Manager – Private Equity

A Tax Manager opportunity has become available with a leading Private Equity firm in Los Angeles. The Tax Manager (ideally CPA qualified) will oversee all Tax compliance as it relates to reporting, funds and partnerships. This is a hybrid role and ideally looking for at least 5 years experience.

The Tax Manager will join an established Private Equity firm in Los Angeles whilst working closely with the firm’s tax service providers in filing relevant local, state and international tax reporting. They will ensure domestic and foreign tax compliance for its funds, management companies and holding companies.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all domestic and foreign tax compliance through collaboration with the tax service providers.
  • Work with tax service provider to prepare tax estimates
  • Serve as key point of contact for tax service providers
  • Prepare holding company financial statements and tax allocation schedules
  • Ensure state and local tax payments are made on a timely basis
  • Maintain tax basis fund allocation and distribution waterfalls

Qualifications

  • 6+ years’ experience working with partnership tax compliance
  • CPA strongly preferred but not required
  • Experience with tax allocation waterfalls
  • Experience with investments in pass-through entities
  • Highly proficient with Excel
