How to Interview at Oliver James

Here at Oliver James, we’re known for our rigorous interview process, where consultant suitability is assessed over three stages.

During stage one, you’ll meet a seasoned OJ representative with thorough knowledge of the company’s expectations. Stage one is about your experience, your goals and what motivates you. We’ll ask about your background and aspirations before telling you about us so we can gauge whether there’s a good fit in the making. We want to see that you handle adversity, thrive on ambition, and do it all with a smile on your face.

Impress at stage one, and you’ll be invited back for the second-stage interview. This time, we’ll focus on your experience, competency and ability to learn, assessing how well you cope under pressure and whether you’re prepared for recruitment the OJ way. We’re not expecting the finished article, but it’s essential you show a willingness to learn and grow. Just remember to dust-off your improvisation skills, we love to put them to the test…

By the third stage, you should have a good understanding of Oliver James and vice-versa. Now, it’s time for you to seal the deal and meet a Board executive who’ll reveal the business’ wider objectives and the opportunities you’ll have to progress here. This is high-level career discussion, so be ready to answer questions about your long-term goals.
