Salesforce Developer

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum


Role

As a Salesforce Developer at a professional services client, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions that align with business needs. You will play a key role in building and maintaining robust, scalable applications on the Salesforce platform, ensuring high performance and usability.


Duties

  • Develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions, including custom configurations, automation, and integrations with third-party systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Manage code and deployments using Git and tools like Gearset, Copado, or Flosum.
  • Support the full development lifecycle, including documentation, testing, and change management processes.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with best practices and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and user training where required.
  • Promote development standards, best practices, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Support IT systems and assist colleagues and end-users with technical guidance and issue resolution.
  • Provide cover for other team members and their duties as required and commensurate with skills of this post.

Knowledge

  • Development best practices – coding standards, source control, security, prototyping
  • Understanding of Salesforce solutions using declarative and programmatic development
  • Salesforce security basics, profiles, permissions, etc.
  • CI/CD and DevOps tools
  • Salesforce programmatic development (Apex, Aura, LWC, Visualforce, etc.)
  • Salesforce platform configuration and customisation, including declarative development
  • Unit testing
  • High-quality technical documentation
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Degree calibre (achieved through formal qualification or equivalent organisational experience)
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
