🧭 The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you'll lead the statutory and regulatory financial reporting for U.S. life insurance entities and serve as a thought partner in companywide financial reporting, general accounting, and strategic team leadership.
This is not just another controller job - it's about building and owning the reporting engine for a platform with ambitious M&A and product growth plans.
🛠️ Key Focus Areas
Lead quarterly & annual financial reporting (US Stat / GAAP / SEC)
Own the full statutory filings lifecycle - blue books, footnotes, board decks
Manage audits, internal controls (Model Audit Rule), and NAIC relationships
Guide reinsurance accounting and transaction support
Partner with actuaries, investments, deals team, and senior leadership
Lead a growing team - hire, mentor, build
Support acquisition integration and block transactions
📌 Must-Have Experience
12+ years in insurance financial reporting (life & annuity preferred)
Deep familiarity with US Statutory and GAAP accounting
Strong leadership chops - team-building, mentorship, cross-functional alignment
Exposure to reinsurance accounting and M&A a major plus
CPA or equivalent required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-trust environments
