Our client, a global asset manager (~$300b AUM), is looking to add an Associate to their finance team in New York City. This role is offering a hybrid schedule and great development within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Centralize financial reporting across Credit and Real Estate platforms by coordinating data collection and ensuring consistency in deliverables
- Maintain detailed reporting workbooks and execute recurring reporting processes for public company requirements
- Perform variance analysis and trend reporting, highlighting anomalies and key insights for senior leadership review
- Support preparation of fund-level disclosures and contribute to communications for public filings
- Assist with accounting research on non-routine transactions and evolving accounting treatments
- Partner with third-party administrators to monitor performance and improve data integration processes
- Drive process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and leveraging tools like Alteryx, Power BI, and AI for scalable reporting
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant work experience in public accounting or the financial services industry
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation (completed or in progress) required
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and data visualization; interest in using technology and AI to streamline and automate workflows
- Mindset: Self-starter with strong ownership mentality, strong attention to detail, and eagerness to develop expertise in complex fund concepts (e.g., fee structures and leverage)
