Compensation Manager

Our client, a $90B AUM asset management firm, is seeking a Compensation Manager to join its Strategic Accounting & Finance team. The role is based in Manhattan, New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Run annual and mid-year compensation cycles (planning, reporting, data checks, system admin).
  • Recommend pay decisions for hires, promotions, transfers, and salary changes using market and internal data.
  • Benchmark roles and analyze market pay to ensure competitive and consistent compensation practices.
  • Support pay equity analysis, compliance, and changing compensation regulations.
  • Conduct compensation analysis and provide insights for HR, Finance, and leadership.
  • Partner with Payroll, Finance, HR, and business teams on compensation issues, reporting, and budgeting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6-8 years of compensation or total rewards experience.
  • Experience in complex organizations, ideally financial services with multiple teams and geographies.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret compensation data and make recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Power BI and compensation systems (Beqom preferred).
  • Strong organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Benefits: 150k-200k base salary, 20% bonus, hybrid working model
