My client, a leading global asset manager is looking to hire a Senior AI Software Engineer to join their AI Engineering team in Manhattan. This position offers hybrid working and significant exposure to high-impact, enterprise-scale technology innovation within a premier investment management platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade applications and services within cloud-native architectures.
- Contribute to the incubation of new products by rapidly validating ideas and preparing solutions for broad enterprise adoption.
- Execute the Build-Operate-Transfer model by partnering with business-aligned technology teams to transition proven capabilities for long-term ownership and scale.
- Develop reusable shared components and engineering capabilities that improve speed, quality, and consistency across teams.
- Champion engineering excellence through automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
- Build systems with measurable production readiness, operational observability, and appropriate safety and control mechanisms.
- Identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies in ways that accelerate workflows and unlock business value.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building applications in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, containerized micro services, and modern software delivery practices.
- Familiarity with API integration, event-driven services, observability, monitoring, and scalable system design.
- Exposure to AI-enabled systems, intelligent workflows, or emerging automation technologies preferred.
- Experience with React and/or Angular a plus.
- Understanding of financial markets or asset management a strong advantage.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across engineering and business teams.
- Product mindset, learning agility, and comfort operating in a fast-evolving technology landscape.
Base Salary: $180,000 – $200,000 + 15% Bonus
