Senior Financial Accountant – (12 Month FTC)
We are thrilled to represent one of the leading firms in the Insurance industry, which is currently looking to expand their finance department by adding an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to their dedicated team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate statutory financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Liaising with external auditors and coordinating audit processes.
- Maintaining comprehensive financial records and preparing reports and forecasts regularly.
- Implementing internal financial controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislations specific to the insurance sector.
- Advising on financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
- Managing financial systems and budgets.
- Continuous improvement of the reporting process.
Key Skills
- Proven expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and their application in the preparation of statutory reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle large datasets and convert them into meaningful information.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills suitable for liaising with colleagues, stakeholders, and external parties such as auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Experience in financial forecasting and financial risk management.
- Capability to independently manage projects and teamwork, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills.
