Senior Manager, IFRS 17
We are partnering with a leading life insurance organisation to hire a Senior Manager, IFRS 17 based in Singapore.
This is a unique opportunity to join a regional team and play a key role in the ongoing IFRS 17 implementation journey across multiple Southeast Asian markets. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, partnering with finance, actuarial and business stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and adherence to IFRS 17 requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support IFRS 17 implementation initiatives across multiple regional business units.
- Act as the finance and accounting subject matter expert for IFRS 17 matters.
- Coordinate with finance, actuarial and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive alignment of IFRS 17 requirements with local accounting standards and reporting frameworks.
- Partner stakeholders across multiple countries to support implementation activities and governance requirements.
- Review and enhance accounting processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
- Support project planning, issue resolution and stakeholder communication throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Provide recommendations on process improvements and best practices relating to IFRS 17.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of experience within insurance finance, financial reporting or finance transformation.
- Strong IFRS 17 implementation experience gained within the insurance industry.
- Proven experience working on large-scale finance transformation or accounting change initiatives.
- Strong understanding of insurance accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders across different functions and locations.
- Regional project exposure would be advantageous.
