Senior Quality Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications. This individual will be responsible for developing test strategies, expanding automation coverage, and driving quality best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in test automation, API testing, SQL validation, and Agile software delivery, along with a passion for continuous improvement and high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans for complex application enhancements and releases.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and reusable test scripts.
- Perform both manual and automated testing across web, backend, and API layers.
- Conduct API, web services, and database validation testing.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Project Managers throughout the SDLC.
- Analyze requirements and identify appropriate testing approaches based on business and technical needs.
- Evaluate automation coverage and continuously improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify testing dependencies, environments, integrations, and data requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to delivering high-quality software incrementally.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality engineering practices and automation maturity.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software delivery experience
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, QA, Software Testing, or Test Automation
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks
- Advanced SQL skills and backend validation experience
- Strong API and web services testing experience
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Guidewire applications
- Experience leveraging AI tools to support testing and quality engineering activities
