Our client is looking for experienced Investment Accounting professionals with extensive hands-on experience in Statutory reporting, specifically within the investment schedules such as Schedule D,DB,BA.
You can be a great fit for the role if you have:
– 8+ years of progressive accounting & financial reporting experience
– Strong experience in preparing Investment Accounting schedules such as Schedule D/DB/BA
– Deep knowledge and skills in Statutory Reporting (Yellow book/Blue book)
– Ability to work independently and coach/mentor others on the team
– Experience in the Insurance industry (P&C/Life/Health…etc)
– CPA (Preferred)

This role is a crucial part of ensuring financial compliance and enhancing operational efficiencies within the company.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) guidelines for both Life Insurance and Property & Casualty sectors.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage the preparation and accuracy of financial reports, ensuring they comply with regulatory standards and provide clear financial snapshots of the business’s investments.
  • Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage investment risks to protect the company’s financial interests.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Key Skills

  • Expertise in NAIC Reporting: Proficient understanding of the Life Insurance and Property & Casualty regulatory reporting as mandated by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
  • Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Leadership: Proven managerial skills with the capacity to motivate and guide a team towards achieving departmental goals.
