My client, a top Private Equity firm is looking for a VP of Valuations to join their team due to growth. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and quarterly valuations for private market investments, including private equity, venture capital, and private credit
- Build and review valuation models (DCF, comps, transaction analysis, option pricing)
- Analyze valuation assumptions, market data, and company performance
- Prepare valuation reports and presentations for committees, auditors, and stakeholders
- Partner with investment teams to assess portfolio company performance
- Manage relationships with auditors and third-party valuation firms
- Track market trends and regulatory changes affecting valuations
- Improve valuation policies, processes, and governance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA preferred
- 5-10 years of valuation experience in Big 4, advisory, or similar firms
- Strong experience valuing private market investments
- Deep knowledge of valuation methods and financial modeling
- Experience leading valuation processes and supporting audits
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
