Title: Windows Administrator
Location: Charlotte, NC, Hybrid – 3 days onsite
Type: Contract – through to the end of 2026 with a view to extend into 2027
Pay Range: $50-70/hr

A leading financial services organization is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to join a project team focused on improving enterprise data management practices across the organization. This role will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and removing obsolete data from shared storage environments while helping ensure compliance with internal governance standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with large-scale Windows environments, automation, scripting, and data-focused infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess enterprise shared storage environments to identify outdated, redundant, or inactive files and folders
- Perform data remediation and cleanup activities in accordance with established governance and operational procedures
- Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to support data discovery, reporting, and administrative tasks
- Automate repetitive processes to improve efficiency and accuracy across the project
- Work alongside infrastructure, security, and governance teams to ensure activities are completed safely and effectively
- Generate reports and maintain documentation detailing findings, actions taken, and project progress
- Support compliance and risk-management initiatives through accurate record keeping and validation processes
- Assist with planning and executing data management activities across multiple business areas
Skilled Needed:
- 3+ years of Windows Systems Administration experience within an enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, NTFS permissions, shared drives, and file system administration
- Hands-on PowerShell scripting experience for administration and automation
- Experience working with large data repositories, file migrations, storage cleanup projects, or similar initiatives
- Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and make recommendations based on findings
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
