Business Development Director

Director – HNW Distribution

A leading international financial services organization is seeking an experienced HNW Distribution Director to drive growth of the High Net Worth (HNW) business across international brokers, bancassurance, and other key distribution channels.

The role focuses on active engagement with frontline distribution stakeholders (IB consultants, insurance specialists, relationship managers), supporting business activation, partnership onboarding, pipeline development, and delivery of complex HNW solutions across assigned markets. The successful candidate will act as a key on-the-ground distribution leader, coordinating internally to resolve issues and accelerate business momentum.

Key Responsibilities:

Distributor Engagement & Business Development

  • Drive HNW business growth and achievement of targets across assigned channels and markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with frontline distribution partners
  • Support activation, pipeline development, and ongoing business activities

Partnership Onboarding & Enablement

  • Lead onboarding and activation of new distribution partners and brokers
  • Coordinate training, operational readiness, and initial case execution

Advisory, Training & Market Intelligence

  • Provide expert advisory support and deliver training on HNW propositions
  • Gather market insights and distributor feedback to refine strategy
  • Support marketing initiatives and distributor campaigns

Cross-functional Coordination & Team Leadership

  • Orchestrate complex cases with Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, and other teams
  • Manage and develop the BDM Associate Director and team members

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • More than 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong HNW Trust Offshoring experience is required
  • Proven track record in HNW/UHNW insurance solutions, including trust arrangements, premium financing, and wealth transfer planning
  • Deep understanding of HNW distribution ecosystems (international brokers, private banks, family offices, wealth advisors)
  • Strong International Banking background or equivalent is highly preferred
  • Experience coordinating complex opportunities across multiple functions
  • Solid knowledge of competitor propositions and HNW market trends
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high professionalism and integrity
