Securities Borrowing & Lending Officer

Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in financial markets? We are looking for a Securities Borrowing & Lending Officer to join a leading international financial institution. In this role, you will help ensure the efficient execution of securities lending transactions while supporting the day-to-day operations of the global capital markets.

Your Role

This position offers a balance between operational responsibilities and stakeholder engagement. Around half of your time will be spent monitoring and processing transactions, while the remainder will involve collaborating with internal teams and communicating with external counterparties.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring securities lending transactions throughout their lifecycle.

  • Investigating and resolving settlement issues or delays.

  • Identifying borrowing and lending requirements for securities.

  • Ensuring all transactions comply with internal procedures and regulatory standards.

  • Processing and maintaining transactions across multiple systems.

  • Working closely with teams including Trading, Treasury, and Operations.

  • Providing clients with transaction updates and handling operational inquiries.

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance automation.

About You

You enjoy solving complex problems, have a keen eye for detail, and perform well in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. You are proactive, accurate, and comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Up to three years of relevant work experience. Recent graduates with a strong interest in financial markets are also encouraged to apply.

  • A genuine interest in capital markets and securities operations.

  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to remain effective under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SQL and/or Python.

  • Experience in Securities, Markets Operations, Clearing, Settlement, Investment Operations, or a comparable environment.
