To support its growing focus on performance management and data-driven decision-making, the company is looking for a Senior Power BI Expert who can transform complex business data into meaningful insights.

This role offers a mix of technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and strategic reporting, making it ideal for someone who enjoys owning the full reporting lifecycle from data preparation to executive-level dashboards.

What You’ll Be Doing

Drive Business Performance Reporting

• Develop impactful KPI dashboards that support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Translate business objectives and reporting requirements into intuitive Power BI solutions.
• Automate reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.

Improve and Enhance Existing Analytics Solutions

• Take ownership of an established Power BI reporting landscape.
• Continuously improve dashboard performance, usability, and adoption.
• Analyze user feedback and usage trends to identify optimization opportunities.

Strengthen Data Foundations

• Design and optimize data models that ensure scalability and performance.
• Improve data consistency, quality, and governance across reporting environments.
• Collaborate with data teams to ensure reporting is built on trusted and well-structured datasets.

Collaborate Across the Organization

• Partner with business leaders, finance teams, controllers, and technical stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders translate reporting needs into actionable solutions.
• Support best practices around reporting governance, access management, and data architecture.

Your Profile

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical capabilities with a business-oriented mindset.

Technical Skills

• Extensive experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service)
• Advanced DAX and Power Query knowledge
• Strong expertise in data modelling and semantic layer design
• Experience with performance tuning and dashboard optimization
• Understanding of data governance and reporting best practices

Professional Experience

• Proven track record delivering KPI and management reporting solutions
• Experience working with large datasets and complex reporting environments
• Comfortable managing reporting initiatives independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to challenge requirements and propose better solutions
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Comfortable operating between business and technical teams

Languages

• Fluent English is required.
• Dutch and/or French is considered an advantage.
