Product Owner – Risk/Analytics
London (Hybrid)
Up to £110,000 + bonus
We’re working with a specialist insurance business building out a genuinely interesting analytics platform at the core of how they underwrite risk, manage portfolios and allocate capital.
They’re looking for a Product Owner who can sit right in the middle of the business and engineering teams and make things actually move.
You’ll be shaping how a complex, data-heavy product evolves and making sure what gets built is both technically sound and commercially useful.
What you’ll be doing
* Owning and prioritising the product backlog for a core analytics platform
* Turning messy, complex business requirements into clear, usable work for engineers
* Working closely with underwriting, actuarial and portfolio teams to understand how they actually use the product
* Partnering with engineers and tech leads to make sure work is properly defined and deliverable
* Driving backlog refinement, sprint planning and release coordination
* Acting as the day-to-day bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Making sure what gets delivered does what it’s supposed to do
What they’re looking for
* Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst on data or analytics-led products
* Some understanding of insurance or financial services (reinsurance experience is a big plus, but not essential)
* Comfortable working with engineers and talking through data, APIs and workflows
* Able to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules
* Strong stakeholder skills
* Familiar with Agile/Scrum ways of working
* Ideally some exposure to SQL or working with structured data
