As a Business Development Executive (BDE) in the Commercial area, you’ll play a pivotal role within the Irish Sales & Distribution team, partnering with brokers across the wider Dublin/Leinster region to win and retain business. Working mainly remotely, with occasional office attendance, you’ll take ownership of your portfolio – drive growth and retention, align with strategic goals, and enhance broker relationships through proactive management.
This role is officially based in Dublin but we embrace a hybrid working model.
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in General Insurance (Commercial).
- CIP (Certified Insurance Professional) qualification.
- Proven track record of achieving goals, strong stakeholder management, excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of commercial lines of products.
- Full driving licence – company car included
Desirable:
- 3+ years’ experience in Customer Relationship Management.
- Experience in Sales with a proven track record.
- Familiarity with local regulatory requirements.
- Relevant third level or postgraduate degree.
- Expertise in Data Analytics and / or Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies would be beneficial.
