In this role, you will:
- Handle a caseload of moderate to severe commercial auto and trucking claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations, including reviewing coverage, liability, damages, police reports, and medical records.
- Interview insureds, agents, witnesses, and medical professionals to compile facts and make well-supported recommendations.
- Negotiate settlements effectively and recommend litigation where necessary, ensuring files are handled strategically and efficiently.
- Collaborate with defense counsel, claims leadership, and internal team members to manage litigated files and develop resolution strategies.
- Maintain accurate reserves and provide timely updates and reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable insurance regulations and company guidelines.
- Contribute to a collaborative culture by assisting with training, sharing expertise, and supporting colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of claims handling experience, preferably with a focus on litigated auto bodily injury claims.
- Strong investigation and negotiation skills with the ability to independently manage claims cradle-to-grave.
- Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking abilities.
- Property & Casualty Adjuster License preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
