The Role
A leading consultancy is looking to hire a Life Actuarial Manager into its UK actuarial consulting team.
This is an opportunity for a Qualified Life Actuary to build consulting experience while gaining a broad view of the UK Life market.
The team works across a mix of audit and advisory engagements, with no dedicated sub-teams. This means you will have exposure to a variety of clients, projects and technical areas, including:
-
IFRS 17
-
Financial reporting
-
Capital
-
Regulatory work
-
Financial transformation
-
M&A / transactions
-
Actuarial modelling
-
Actuarial support to audit engagements
As a Manager, you will take a lead role in the delivery of client engagements, managing smaller teams, reviewing actuarial work and providing technical input across projects.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Life Actuary.
The team is looking for:
-
Broad UK Life actuarial experience
-
Experience across a range of Life products
-
Exposure to financial reporting, capital and/or modelling
-
Experience with IFRS 17
-
Experience reviewing actuarial work
-
Experience managing or supporting junior team members
-
The ability to work across multiple engagements
Consultancy experience is preferred, but industry candidates encouraged to apply.
Why You Should Join
- This is a particularly good opportunity for a newly qualified actuary who wants to broaden their experience and become a well rounded actuary.
- Rather than being restricted to one area, you will work across different clients and projects and gain a holistic view of the UK Life market.
- Consulting can also provide a strong learning environment and an opportunity to build a broad professional network across the market.
- The firm offers a flexible working environment with a focus on work-life balance.
