Associate Vice President, Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence

Our client, a leading organization within the Property & Casualty insurance industry, is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Associate Vice President of Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence. This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on shaping and executing enterprise analytics and AI initiatives while connecting technology capabilities with key business priorities.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to expand the use of data, advanced analytics, Generative AI and emerging AI technologies across the organization.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of enterprise Data, Analytics & AI strategy and roadmaps, ensuring initiatives align with broader business objectives.
• Partner with senior leaders across Underwriting, Claims, Finance and other core insurance functions to identify opportunities for analytics and AI.
• Drive the adoption and implementation of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions across the organization.
• Lead and develop a growing team across Analytics & AI, establishing clear priorities and supporting continued professional development.
• Translate complex business challenges into scalable data, analytics and AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Oversee analytics and AI initiatives from initial concept through implementation, adoption and ongoing performance.
• Partner with technology, architecture, governance and risk teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and appropriate for a regulated environment.
• Establish meaningful KPIs to measure adoption, performance and business impact.

Key Skills

• Extensive experience within Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence or Business Analytics, including significant leadership responsibility.
• Strong understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance industry and its core business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute enterprise Analytics & AI strategies and roadmaps.
• Experience implementing Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning or advanced analytics within an enterprise environment.
• Proven success building, leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience translating technical capabilities into practical solutions that produce measurable business outcomes.
• Knowledge of modern data platforms, data governance and responsible AI practices within regulated environments.
