Onze opdrachtgever is een van de grootste coöperatieve banken van Nederland, met een stevige internationale voetafdruk en een duidelijke digitale ambitie. De bank investeert fors in AI en bouwt aan een intern agentic platform: een omgeving waarin AI-agents medewerkers ondersteunen in hun dagelijkse werk. Geen experiment in de marge, maar een strategisch initiatief met zichtbaarheid tot in de top van de organisatie. Het tempo ligt hoog, de ambities zijn groot en precies daarom zoekt men iemand die structuur en helderheid brengt.
De functie
Als Technical Business Analyst ben jij de verbindende schakel tussen business en techniek. Je haalt use cases en gebruikerswensen op binnen de organisatie, vertaalt deze naar heldere technische requirements en stuurt externe vendors aan op effectieve delivery. Je test nieuwe features vóór release en bewaakt dat het platform écht werkt voor eindgebruikers.
Wat deze rol bijzonder maakt: je hebt zelf gewerkt als Data Scientist of Machine Learning Engineer. Je begrijpt datastromen, analytics en ML-concepten van binnenuit en juist die technische geloofwaardigheid maakt jou de gesprekspartner die zowel de business als de engineers serieus nemen.
Top 3 verantwoordelijkheden
- Requirements ophalen en vertalen, je verzamelt gebruikerswensen op basis van interne use cases voor het agentic platform en zet deze om in heldere, technische requirements waar teams direct mee verder kunnen.
- Vendormanagement en delivery, je stemt nauw af met externe leveranciers, houdt hen scherp op afspraken en zorgt dat wat gebouwd wordt aansluit op wat de organisatie nodig heeft.
- Testen en gebruikersadoptie, je test nieuwe features vóór livegang, bewaakt de bruikbaarheid voor eindgebruikers en houdt stakeholders door de hele organisatie aangehaakt.
Wat breng je mee?
- 2-5 jaar ervaring als Business Analyst in een technische of datagedreven omgeving
- Een achtergrond als Data Scientist of ML Engineer
- Sterke stakeholder- en vendormanagementvaardigheden
- Ervaring in consultancy en/of een start-up-/scale-up-omgeving is een plus
- Bachelor of Master in een relevant vakgebied; PhD is een sterke plus
- Vloeiend Engels (CV en motivatie in het Engels)
ZZP-constructie | 36 uur per week | € 80 – € 83,- per uur | 12 maanden opdracht

The organisation
Our client is one of the largest cooperative banks in the Netherlands, with a strong international footprint and a clear digital ambition. The bank is investing heavily in AI and is building an internal agentic platform: an environment where AI agents support employees in their day-to-day work. This is no side experiment, it’s a strategic initiative with visibility at the highest levels of the organisation. The pace is high, the ambitions are big, and that is exactly why they are looking for someone who brings structure and clarity.
The role
As a Technical Business Analyst, you are the connecting link between business and technology. You gather use cases and user requirements across the organisation, translate them into clear technical requirements, and align closely with external vendors to ensure effective delivery. You test new features before release and make sure the platform genuinely works for end users.
What makes this role stand out: you have previously worked as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer. You understand data workflows, analytics and ML concepts from the inside and it is precisely that technical credibility that makes you the conversation partner both the business and the engineers take seriously.
Top 3 responsibilities
- Gathering and translating requirements, you collect user needs based on internal use cases for the agentic platform and convert them into clear technical requirements that teams can act on immediately.
- Vendor management and delivery, you align closely with external vendors, hold them to their commitments, and ensure what gets built matches what the organisation actually needs.
- Testing and user adoption, you test new features before release, safeguard usability for end users, and keep stakeholders across the organisation engaged and informed.
What you bring
- 2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical or data-driven environment
- A background as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor alignment skills
- Experience in consulting and/or a start-up/scale-up environment is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field; a PhD is a strong plus
- Fluent English (CV and motivation in English)
Contracting structure (no freelance)
A freelance (ZZP) construction is not possible for this assignment; midlance constructions are also excluded in line with the client’s policy. You will be engaged through secondment via Oliver James, with employment conditions in line with the applicable collective labour agreement (scale 9). We are happy to discuss what this means for your specific situation.
