The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Executive to join the Commercial Sales & Distribution team. The successful candidate will manage and develop relationships with an established portfolio of insurance brokers across the Dublin and Leinster region, driving business growth, improving retention, and strengthening long-term partnerships.
This role requires a commercially focused professional who can identify new opportunities, support broker development, and contribute to the achievement of strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow a portfolio of broker relationships to maximise new business and retention opportunities.

Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key broker partners, acting as their primary point of contact.

Develop and implement account plans aligned with business objectives, setting measurable targets and monitoring performance.

Conduct regular portfolio and performance reviews with broker partners.

Analyse portfolio data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement in profitability and customer outcomes.

Promote the organisation’s products and services while providing valuable market intelligence and competitor insights.

Support initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.

Skills & Experience
Essential
-
Minimum of five years’ experience within the commercial general insurance sector.

Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) qualification or equivalent.

Demonstrated success in achieving business development or commercial performance targets.

Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
-
Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders.

Good knowledge of commercial insurance products.

Full, clean driving licence.
