Client Account Management Director (Institutional / Subadvisory) | Global Asset Manager | Baltimore, MD

A leading global asset manager is hiring a senior Client Account Management Director to own the operational relationship with its most complex professional clients across North America.
You’ll be the single point of contact for everything operational once a client is on board: onboarding new accounts, managing changes, and making sure day-to-day servicing runs smoothly. Clients include institutions, insurance companies, consultants, platforms and intermediaries, with a focus on separate accounts and subadvised mandates.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You’ll work hand in hand with the relationship management team, be the client’s voice across operations, investment operations and legal & compliance, and act as the go-to expert and escalation point for the toughest accounts. You’ll also help shape how the team works, driving process improvements and mentoring colleagues.
What you’ll do
- Lead onboarding, change and ongoing servicing for complex institutional and subadvised clients
- Diagnose and resolve complex service issues, spotting trends before they become problems
- Build service plans and scorecards alongside relationship managers
- Work with custodians, consultants, platforms and administrators to keep everything running
- Push for process and control improvements across the client lifecycle
- Report on service health and client outcomes to senior leadership
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years in asset management or investment management client service, onboarding or account management
- Hands-on experience servicing separate accounts and/or subadvised relationships
- Strong understanding of how institutional, insurance and intermediary clients operate
- The confidence to influence internally and push back diplomatically when needed
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
