Due Diligence Manager – Insurance | New York (Hybrid)
Oliver James is partnered with a leading insurance client that is looking to hire a Due Diligence Manager to support the evaluation and oversight of new and existing insurance programs.
This role will focus on assessing MGA/program partners, reviewing financial and operational performance, identifying risks, and supporting senior leadership with investment and growth decisions.
You’ll work closely with teams across underwriting, finance, claims, legal, and compliance, owning due diligence reviews from initial assessment through ongoing monitoring.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead due diligence reviews across MGA, program, and insurance partnerships
- Analyze financial performance, operational processes, and business risks
- Prepare recommendations and reporting for senior leadership
- Monitor existing programs and identify performance trends or concerns
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
- Improve due diligence processes, tools, and frameworks
Ideal background:
- 6+ years of experience either from an Investment Banking, Consulting or Due Diligence role in an insurer.
- Industry experience to the P&C insurance especially underwriting, risk, program management, or due diligence
- Experience with MGA/MGU, fronting, specialty insurance, or program business preferred
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple projects
