FIG Strategy Group, Vice President

A next-generation, founder-led alternative asset manager with a strong private equity pedigree and $35+ billion in AUM across private equity, private credit, and insurance and reinsurance solutions. The firm is building one of the most dynamic platforms in alternatives, with a focus on FIG strategies spanning insurance and asset managers, growing through strategic, inorganic, and principal investment initiatives.

The Role
The firm is establishing a FIG Strategy Group and hiring a Vice President to sit at the center of how it grows itself. This is a corporate development and strategic principal investing seat focused on the financial services and asset management sector: evaluating and executing GP stakes, asset manager acquisitions, strategic partnerships, seeding and platform transactions, and other initiatives that scale the firm and its investment strategies.

You will own transactions end-to-end; sourcing, structuring, valuation, diligence, and execution, while helping shape the strategic direction of a rapidly scaling platform. A rare opportunity to build a FIG-focused strategy function from an early stage and make an outsized, firm-level impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead evaluation and execution of strategic transactions across financial services and asset management – GP stakes, management-company investments, acquisitions, seeding, and platform partnerships
  • Develop investment and strategic theses on how the firm grows organically and inorganically, and present to senior leadership and investment committees
  • Own financial modeling and valuation of asset managers and financial services businesses, including management-company economics, fee and carry streams, and AUM growth dynamics
  • Manage advisors, counterparties, and diligence work streams throughout the transaction life-cycle
  • Partner with leaders across private equity, private credit, and insurance solutions on firm-level priorities
  • Mentor and develop junior team members

What We’re Looking For

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience with a strong track record of progression
  • Background in GP stakes / GP strategic capital, FIG or asset management M&A advisory, financial-services PE, or corporate development / strategy at an asset manager
  • Deep understanding of asset manager and financial services economics, management-company value, fee and carry structures, GP staking, and AUM-driven business models
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transactions and strategic initiatives end-to-end
  • Entrepreneurial, ownership-driven mindset suited to building something new inside a scaling platform
  • Insurance and reinsurance exposure is a plus but not required

Why This Role
A chance to build a FIG Strategy Group from the ground up inside one of the fastest-growing alternative platforms in the market, with direct exposure to senior leadership and a central role in shaping how the firm scales.
