A growing Private Equity firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join their growing team.
The Fund Accountant will support the accounting and financial operations of the company’s private equity, private credit, and infrastructure investment funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate fund accounting records, performing cash and account reconciliations, supporting investor activity, processing fund transactions, and assisting with financial reporting and cash management activities.
The successful candidate should have at least one to two years of full-time accounting experience, ideally within an investment management, private equity, private credit, fund administration, or financial services environment.
Relevant experience includes:
- Fund accounting or general accounting experience
- Cash management and daily cash reconciliation experience
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing and recording fund transactions
- Experience with investor contributions, distributions, and capital activity
- Accounts payable and expense processing
- Proficient use of accounting systems, treasury management systems, and/or banking portals
- Experience processing or reviewing wire transfers and internal cash transfers
- Communicating effectively, both written and verbally, with internal teams, fund administrators, investors, banks, and other external parties
