Job Opportunity: Global Account Manager – Property & Casualty (Bilingual French/English)
Our client, a leading global insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Global Account Manager to join their Montreal team. This permanent opportunity will focus on servicing and coordinating complex multinational clients, delivering strategic risk management solutions, and ensuring seamless execution of global insurance programs.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients, working closely with international network partners, internal teams, and insurance markets to develop tailored insurance programs that address complex cross-border risks. Due to the nature of the client base, fluency in both French and English is required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of large and multinational Property & Casualty accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for client relationships.
- Coordinate and oversee global insurance programs involving Canadian, U.S., and international exposures.
- Lead renewal strategy, coverage reviews, and market negotiations to secure competitive and comprehensive insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with producers, account management teams, carrier partners, and international colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery across jurisdictions.
- Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ operations, exposures, and risk management objectives to provide strategic guidance and recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver stewardship reports, renewal presentations, and client recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand service offerings across geographies and lines of business.
- Negotiate coverage terms, pricing, and program structures with domestic and international insurance markets.
- Stay informed on market conditions, regulatory developments, and emerging risks impacting multinational organizations.
- Participate in client meetings, prospect opportunities, and strategic account planning initiatives.
Key Skills
- Strong experience managing complex commercial Property & Casualty accounts within a brokerage or consulting environment.
- Experience coordinating multinational insurance programs and working with international stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial lines coverages, including property, casualty, liability, cyber, professional liability, and specialty risks.
- Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, carriers, and colleagues across multiple regions.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to navigate complex risk structures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Professional fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial Property & Casualty brokerage experience, preferably in an Account Executive, Global Account Manager, or client-facing advisory role.
- Experience servicing multinational or large corporate clients across various industries.
- Exposure to international placements and coordination of global programs.
- Quebec AMF certification and industry designations (CIP, CAIB, CRM, etc.) are considered assets.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian commercial insurance market and multinational servicing environment.
