The Role
We’re recruiting for an HR Business Partner to join a leading global financial services organisation’s HR team in London. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role combining hands-on UK HR operations and employee relations with strategic business partnering across Finance functions spanning multiple international HQ locations, including Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior Finance leaders (Accounting & Reporting, Tax, Treasury and Actuarial), while also owning the full HR generalist agenda for a London office population – from policy and ER casework through to recruitment, supplier management, and visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with Finance leadership to shape and deliver HR strategy aligned to business goals
- Lead performance management, calibration, reward planning and workforce planning cycles
- Work with Talent Acquisition to attract top Finance talent and support diversity goals
- Partner with L&D/Culture teams on training and career development pathways
- Drive retention through secondments, transfers and talent planning
HR Operations, Governance & Business Partnering
- Provide high-touch generalist HR support to all London office employees and managers
- Lead HR-related change initiatives – project managing comms, manager toolkits, FAQs and stakeholder presentations
- Manage UK employee relations casework end-to-end, including liaison with external employment advisers on sensitive matters
- Own permanent and fixed-term recruitment for the London office
- Manage HR supplier relationships and contract reviews
- Own UK HR policy suite, ensuring alignment with global policy and best-in-class employer positioning
- Oversee HR administration and payroll-adjacent processes for the London population
- Own the visa sponsorship process, including monthly compliance reviews and SMS reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Strong stakeholder management skills across seniority levels and geographies
- Proven ability to manage complex projects independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills – comfortable interpreting data to inform business decisions
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive ER situations
- Background in change programmes and understanding of what drives successful delivery
- Strong HR communications drafting skills (comms, manager guides, FAQs)
- Solid working knowledge of UK employment law
Why Apply
This is a genuinely broad HRBP role – equal parts strategic partnering and hands-on generalist ownership – at a well-known, global financial services brand. You’ll have real autonomy, direct exposure to senior Finance stakeholders, and international scope, all while being embedded in a close-knit London HR team.
