I’m working with an exciting international technology company that is expanding its engineering team in Ticino and looking for a Lead Software Engineer.
This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys distributed systems, architecture and technical leadership.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems
- Drive architecture decisions around scalability, performance and maintainability
- Own cross-team technical initiatives and influence engineering direction
- Mentor engineers and raise standards around design, code quality and operational excellence
- Drive best practices across software design, testing and observability
- Take ownership of critical features and services from concept through production
What you bring
- Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems
- Strong experience with Golang, C++ or Ruby
- Strong knowledge of system design, algorithms and data structures
- Experience with modern backend architectures, APIs and service-oriented systems
- Strong automated testing experience
- JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience is a plus
- Fluent English; Italian is a plus
