About the Opportunity
Oliver James is partnered with a leading global insurance organization seeking a Programs Auditor to join its growing Delegated Authority team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in auditing a rapidly expanding portfolio of commercial insurance programs, partnering closely with underwriting and business leaders to strengthen controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continued growth.
This role is ideal for an auditor with commercial insurance experience who enjoys working cross-functionally and wants to join a collaborative team with significant growth opportunities as the delegated authority function continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute audits across delegated authority programs, including underwriting, claims, premium accounting, and policy administration.
- Evaluate internal controls and compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Identify operational risks and provide practical recommendations to strengthen controls and processes.
- Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to business stakeholders.
- Partner with underwriting and program management teams to support remediation efforts and process improvements.
- Monitor corrective actions and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of audit methodologies and best practices.
- Travel periodically to conduct program audits and support stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of audit experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance operations, including underwriting, claims, and policy administration.
- Experience auditing or working with MGAs/MGUs or delegated authority programs is highly preferred.
- CPCU, RPLU, or similar industry certifications are preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
