Re-Insurance Manager | Boca Raton, FL | Hybrid (3 days in office) | $DOE + bonus
I’m working with a growing insurance business that is looking to appoint a Reinsurance Operations Manager to support the continued expansion of its reinsurance function.
This is a confidential search for a strong people leader who can take ownership of the reinsurance operations team, drive process and systems improvements, and help develop the function as the business continues to grow.
The role reports directly to the COO and offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the team, systems and wider reinsurance operation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and mentor a team of reinsurance supervisors and analysts, with responsibility for performance management, coaching and team development.
- Oversee reinsurance operations, including cession processing, reconciliations, settlements, reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, controls and systems, partnering with IT to implement enhancements and resolve issues.
- Take ownership of reporting accuracy, audit requirements, internal controls and reinsurance administration.
- Lead systems testing, enhancements and integration projects as the business continues to scale.
- Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and support future growth.
What they’re looking for:
- A strong people manager with experience leading, developing and growing teams.
- An accounting or finance background, with solid reinsurance knowledge and experience across reinsurance operations or administration.
- The ability to improve processes, influence systems development and lead change, rather than simply oversee day-to-day activity.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with reinsurance systems and ceded reinsurance processes would be advantageous.
