We are currently looking for an S&OP Controller to join a leading international organization with a complex global operating environment. Working in an international setting, you will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business functions to support strategic planning and drive business performance.
The role
As an S&OP Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial aspects of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. You will partner closely with Planning and Finance teams to provide valuable financial insights, evaluate business scenarios, and support strategic decision-making. By combining financial analysis with operational planning, you will help optimize performance, improve planning outcomes, and contribute to achieving the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Support financial scenario analyses and decision-making within the S&OP process.
- Provide end-to-end financial insights into the impact of S&OP decisions on profitability, capacity, and inventory levels.
- Translate the S&OP process from a volume-driven to a value-driven approach.
- Deliver financial datasets to commercial and operational finance teams for forecasting and financial outlook processes.
- Support automation initiatives and process improvements by combining financial and planning insights.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and simplify existing ways of working.
- Provide financial insights during S&OP meetings to support capacity and planning decisions.
- Prepare monthly reporting and data consolidation for the Global S&OP meeting.
- Act as a backup for another S&OP Controller within the team.
- Challenge and support the Planning team from a financial perspective.
The team
You will join an international Finance team responsible for supporting the global supply chain organization. Within the S&OP Controlling team, you will work closely with Planning, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Plant Controllers, and other international stakeholders. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and operates within a global matrix organization.
What we are looking for
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to challenge the business constructively.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and matrix organizations.
- Previous experience in Commercial Finance, Business Controlling, or Supply Chain Finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with SAP, HFM, and/or Power BI is considered an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
