Senior Actuarial Analyst

Job Description – Senior Actuarial Analyst

This role is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and detailed analysis of models, studies, and systems that apply actuarial principles. These activities support areas such as pricing, underwriting, statistical analysis, reserving, forecasting, and related actuarial functions. The role involves running and enhancing complex models, as well as conducting detailed analysis of outputs.

The position also requires preparing clear written and verbal summaries to support decision-making processes, along with developing a foundational understanding of business and actuarial concepts.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (other relevant degrees may be considered).

* Progress toward a recognised actuarial credential (e.g., completion of at least three professional actuarial examinations or equivalent).

* Minimum of 2 years of relevant actuarial experience.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce documentation, support training, and contribute to presentations.

* Proficiency in standard office software applications (e.g., word processing and spreadsheet tools).

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data tools and programming languages (e.g., database query tools, scripting, or similar technologies).

* Experience in the insurance sector or a related industry.

Additional Information

* This role follows a hybrid working model, with a requirement to attend an office location multiple days per week.

* Eligibility to work in the role’s location without employer sponsorship is required.

* Compensation is aligned with market ranges and will depend on experience and qualifications.
