Senior Actuary – Commercial Lines Pricing

I’m currently partnered with a rapidly growing insurance platform that is investing heavily in pricing sophistication, underwriting performance, and actuarial modernization.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an actuarial professional who enjoys combining technical analysis with commercial decision-making. You’ll work closely with actuarial leadership and underwriting teams to influence pricing strategy, profitability, portfolio performance, and business growth across a diverse commercial lines portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Conduct profitability reviews and pricing analyses across commercial lines business

Develop rate recommendations and support strategic pricing initiatives

Analyze loss trends, loss development, and emerging experience

Support reserve reviews and leverage reserving insights to inform pricing decisions

Enhance actuarial models, tools, and automation capabilities

Partner directly with underwriting and business leaders to drive profitable growth

Support filings, portfolio reviews, and broader business initiatives
What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of P&C actuarial experience
-
Commercial lines pricing experience preferred
-
Strong reserving candidates with pricing interest will also be considered

ACAS, FCAS, or strong exam progress

Experience with profitability analysis, ratemaking, loss trending, and reserve reviews

Strong SQL skills required

Python and/or R experience preferred

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with business stakeholders
