Senior SAP Software Engineer (ABAP / S/4HANA)
Bern, Switzerland | 80-100% | Start: January 2027
I’m currently looking for an experienced SAP Software Engineer with strong ABAP OO development expertise to join an established agile development team on an exciting SAP S/4HANA transformation project.
The project focuses on replacing an existing system and bringing the monitoring, inspection and maintenance planning of major engineering structures – including bridges and tunnels – into SAP S/4HANA.
What you’ll be doing:

Designing and developing solutions using ABAP OO within SAP S/4HANA.

Working on SAP EAM processes, particularly PM notifications and maintenance orders.

Developing and enhancing inspection processes, condition assessments and maintenance planning.

Working with SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, CDS Views and SQL.

Contributing to software architecture, Clean Code principles and automated testing.

Collaborating closely with Product Owners, functional specialists and developers in an agile environment.
What we’re looking for:

Strong hands-on experience with ABAP OO development in SAP S/4HANA.

Solid SAP EAM / PM experience, particularly maintenance processes and notifications.

Strong knowledge of SQL and ABAP CDS.

Extensive experience with SAPUI5 Freestyle and Fiori Elements.

Experience with ABAP Unit, code reviews and automated testing.

Agile development experience.
-
Fluent German (C2 level) is essential.
Project details:
Bern Wankdorf, Switzerland (minimum 2 days onsite per week)
January – December 2027, with potential extension
80-100% workload
