Senior Software Engineer – Daily rate Contract (6-12 months initially with strong view to extend) – Hybrid (1-2 days per week in Dublin office)
About the Role
You’ll build and operate the data pipelines powering the Intelligence Platform, transforming data into reliable, anonymized insights for web experiences, internal tools, and AI-powered products.
Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using JVM technologies and modern data lake tools.

Prototype data products quickly, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate.

Ensure data quality, freshness, privacy, and reliability through automated tests, monitoring, and alerts.

Define data models and contracts for downstream teams and applications.

Publish trusted data to internal tools and customer-facing products.

Monitor pipeline performance, support on-call operations, and contribute to technical design and code reviews.

Incorporate AI tools into your daily engineering workflow.
Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with data-intensive or distributed systems.

Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented language.

Strong SQL, data modeling, testing, and data quality skills.

Experience turning complex, large-scale datasets into reliable data products.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.

Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have: Experience with Apache Spark, Iceberg, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, or Pulsar.
