Solution Architect – Domain-Driven Design

Solution Architect – Domain-Driven Design

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with strong hands-on experience in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to support the transformation of legacy systems into modern, domain-oriented solutions.

You will join the department and play a key role in defining and shaping new business domains, working closely with business stakeholders, developers and other architects.

This is not a development role. We are looking for a technically strong architect who can translate business needs into robust, scalable end-to-end solutions and, most importantly, coach teams on the practical application of DDD.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end solution architectures for new business domains.

  • Lead and coach teams in the practical application of Domain-Driven Design.

  • Identify bounded contexts, domains, aggregates and appropriate domain boundaries.

  • Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and architecture blueprints.

  • Design modern, scalable architectures based on microservices and APIs.

  • Help define the transition from legacy systems towards modern domain-based solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, technical leads, product owners and business stakeholders.

  • Ensure architectural decisions are aligned with enterprise standards and technical strategy.

  • Challenge existing approaches and provide expert guidance on architectural choices.

Technical Environment

You will work in an environment including:

  • DDD / Domain-Driven Design – strong practical experience required

  • .NET / C#

  • Angular

  • Azure Cloud

  • Microservices & API architecture

  • Containerisation

  • NoSQL databases, particularly Azure Cosmos DB

  • Azure Logic Apps – a strong plus

About You

You have a strong technical background and have already implemented DDD in real-world projects, rather than simply knowing the theory.

You are comfortable operating at architecture level while understanding the technical reality behind your decisions. You can explain complex architectural concepts clearly, challenge teams when necessary and coach developers and architects who are familiar with DDD concepts but lack practical experience.

You bring:

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect / Software Architect.

  • Strong, practical expertise in Domain-Driven Design.

  • Experience designing end-to-end solutions in complex environments.

  • A solid understanding of .NET and modern software architecture.

  • Experience with microservices, APIs and cloud architectures.

  • Good knowledge of Azure and containerisation concepts.

  • Experience with NoSQL / Cosmos DB is a strong advantage.

  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach and influence technical teams.

What makes this role interesting?

You will have a genuine architectural impact: defining new domains, shaping the target architecture and helping teams move from theoretical DDD knowledge to effective, real-world implementation.
