Overview
Responsible for the end-to-end technical solution for a project, or a workstream within a larger programme, across multiple architecture domains. Working closely with the Lead Solution Architect, Enterprise Architects, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure robust, scalable, and strategically aligned solutions are designed and successfully implemented.
Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain solution design documentation, either independently or in collaboration with wider architecture teams.

Present proposed solutions to the Architecture Review Board where required.

Support project planning by contributing to estimates, identifying technical risks, assumptions, dependencies, and implementation challenges.

Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, business stakeholders, and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure all solutions adhere to the organisation’s architectural standards, principles, and long-term technology strategy.

Collaborate with engineering teams across integration, data, security, development, testing, and release management to deliver high-quality solutions.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience designing enterprise-scale technology solutions within large, complex organisations delivering multiple concurrent change initiatives.
- Broad understanding of enterprise architecture disciplines, including applications, infrastructure, data, security, cloud, and integration, with deep technical expertise in at least two of these areas.
- Practical knowledge of modern software engineering approaches, delivery methodologies, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and adopting best practices.
- Strong technical experience with Oracle technologies such as RDBMS, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX; Red Hat JBoss EAP, Linux, and IBM WebSphere MQ.
- Experience designing and delivering hybrid technology solutions that integrate on-premises platforms with cloud-based SaaS services hosted on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
