We are currently recruiting for a Statutory Accountant to join a well-established semi-state organisation based in Dublin. This is an initial 2-month daily rate contract to provide maternity cover, with a strong likelihood of extension due to ongoing project requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced statutory accountant to join a high-performing finance team during a busy reporting period and contribute to several key finance projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage statutory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines.
- Support the delivery of key finance projects and reporting initiatives.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors throughout the reporting cycle.
- Assist with year-end and month-end reporting activities.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Provide support to the wider finance team during a critical reporting period.
About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong experience in statutory reporting and the preparation of financial statements.
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience working within a large organisation or public/semi-state environment is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Available to start at short notice or within a reasonable notice period.
