Tax Manager – Trusts & Estates

Location: California / Remote
Salary: $125,000-$175,000 base + discretionary bonus
Working arrangement: Remote, with occasional scheduled office attendance
Employment: Full-time

Are you an experienced Estates & Trusts tax professional looking for greater advisory responsibility and a platform to develop your career?

I’m working with an established national accounting and advisory firm seeking a Tax Manager to join its specialist Trusts & Estates practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Senior Tax professional or existing Tax Manager with experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families and trusts on complex tax compliance and estate planning matters.

The role offers exposure to sophisticated private client engagements, collaboration with national tax specialists and the opportunity to develop long-term client relationships.

The opportunity

• Review complex fiduciary income, estate and gift tax returns.

• Oversee trust and estate accounting and related tax compliance.

• Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate and income tax planning.

• Support individual, partnership and S corporation tax matters.

• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted technical adviser.

• Supervise and mentor junior tax professionals.

• Work closely with senior leadership on complex estate and trust matters.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably within public accounting.

• Significant experience in Estates & Trusts and high-net-worth taxation.

• At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

• Strong technical tax research and client advisory capabilities.

• CPA, JD or LL.M. preferred.

• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
