Oliver James have partnered with a global alternative investment management as they look to hire a VP of Fund Finance and Strategy to help lead a newly created role within there Policy and Strategy department.
They are ideally looking for somebody with strong experience coming from Public Accounting or Asset Management with a entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to lead, and strong collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on complex fund transactions and accounting treatment.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Research and implement new accounting standards.
- Review financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Maintain SOX controls and support audit activities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- 5-10 years of public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 946 and ASC 820.
- Experience with technical accounting research and policy development.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
