AVP / VP, Business Finance
Singapore | 12-Month Contract with Likelihood of Permanent Conversion
Oliver James is partnering with an established insurer to recruit two Business Finance professionals at AVP and VP level. These roles offer the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders, strengthen management reporting and contribute to financial planning and performance management.
Both positions are offered on an initial 12-month contract, with likelihood of permanent conversion, subject to performance and business requirements.
VP, Business Finance
You will take ownership of key management reporting and planning activities, providing financial insights that support business decisions.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
* Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, working with stakeholders to assess assumptions and business performance.
* Analyse financial results, explain performance drivers and highlight risks and opportunities.
* Prepare presentations and reports for reviews with local, regional and group stakeholders.
* Improve the quality and usefulness of management information and reporting.
* Oversee the day-to-day delivery of an offshore support team.
AVP, Business Finance
You will support financial planning and performance management, with a particular focus on costs and headcount.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyse cost and headcount reports to support business planning and performance reviews.
* Support monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting deliverables.
* Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, including reviewing inputs and explaining variances.
* Develop useful insights from management information and enhance existing reports.
* Work with stakeholders to understand cost movements and headcount requirements.
* Support business reviews and initiatives to optimise costs and resource allocation.
Skills and Experience
* Relevant experience in business finance, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
* Experience in cost and headcount reporting is particularly relevant to the AVP position.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into clear business insights.
* Experience preparing presentations and financial commentary for management.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
* Good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing reporting deadlines.
* A degree in Finance or Accountancy is required for the VP position.
* Experience with SAP reporting and analysis would be advantageous.
