About the client
Our client is one of the Netherlands’ leading financial institutions, serving millions of private and business customers both domestically and internationally. Operating in a highly regulated and technology-driven environment, the organisation continuously invests in digital innovation, secure banking services and sustainable transformation.
With a strong focus on risk management, regulatory compliance and technological excellence, the organisation is committed to ensuring that its systems, processes and software development practices meet the highest standards of security and reliability.
Within this environment, technology, information security, risk and business teams work closely together to translate complex regulatory and policy requirements into practical, scalable solutions. By embracing automation, data-driven decision-making and emerging AI capabilities, the organisation aims to make compliance an integral part of the software development lifecycle rather than a separate control activity.
As part of this ongoing transformation, you will contribute to strengthening the connection between compliance, engineering and innovation, helping teams deliver secure, compliant and future-proof technology solutions.
About the role
Are you an experienced Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between compliance, risk, technology and emerging AI capabilities? Do you enjoy translating complex policies and regulatory requirements into practical solutions that enable engineering teams to work securely, efficiently and compliantly?
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to strengthen an organisation-wide Adherence capability within a complex, technology-driven environment. You will operate at the intersection of policy, information security, engineering and digital transformation, ensuring that compliance requirements are not only understood but also embedded into systems, processes and software delivery.
You will work closely with stakeholders across CISO, technology and data control functions, policy owners, solution owners and engineering teams. Your role is to translate complex requirements into clear controls, evidence models, user journeys, acceptance criteria and actionable delivery backlogs.
In addition, you will contribute to integrating AI capabilities into compliance processes and shaping the future of the Agentic Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
What will you do?
1. Translate compliance requirements into practical solutions
-
Analyse policies, standards and control requirements and determine the appropriate compliance approach.
-
Translate complex requirements into clear business and technology requirements, controls and acceptance criteria.
-
Define and improve compliance pathways, including proxy solutions, evidence-based compliance, trust-based approaches and formally approved deviations.
-
Establish evidence requirements for non-standard solutions and assess potential risks, dependencies and governance gaps.
-
Identify opportunities to simplify and optimise existing compliance processes.
2. Connect stakeholders and drive alignment
-
Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders across information security, technology, data protection, policy and engineering.
-
Bring together different perspectives and translate stakeholder needs into clear decisions and actionable outcomes.
-
Clarify responsibilities, ownership and handovers across teams.
-
Collaborate with Adherence squads, Product Owners, solution owners and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.
3. Design and optimise end-to-end journeys
-
Design user journeys tailored to the needs of engineers, solution owners and technology stakeholders.
-
Break down complex engineering journeys into practical steps, requirements, micro-journeys and work instructions.
-
Connect journeys across Adherence and supporting solutions to create a consistent user experience.
-
Validate processes and responsibilities with delivery teams and support the publication of guidance and work instructions.
4. Enable AI-driven compliance and software delivery
-
Define requirements for translating policies, controls and standards into machine-readable context.
-
Explore how AI capabilities can improve compliance processes, evidence collection and engineering workflows.
-
Contribute to the development of an AI-readiness backlog, use-case portfolio and context catalogue.
-
Assess the impact of emerging AI solutions on existing processes, controls and user journeys.
-
Provide strategic recommendations to support the evolution towards an Agentic SDLC.
What do you bring?
-
Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst in a regulated, complex or technology-driven environment.
-
Strong expertise in requirements engineering, process modelling and journey design.
-
Experience translating risk, policy or compliance requirements into practical controls and technology solutions.
-
Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
-
The ability to connect strategic objectives with detailed implementation requirements.
-
A working understanding of AI, information security, controls, evidence management and software delivery.
-
A proactive, analytical and collaborative mindset, with a strong sense of ownership.
-
Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
What is in it for you?
-
A gross monthly salary of €6,500-€7,000, based on a 36-hour working week.
-
The opportunity to work on strategic compliance and technology transformation initiatives.
-
Close collaboration with senior stakeholders across risk, security, policy and engineering.
-
The opportunity to influence how AI and automation are integrated into future software delivery processes.
-
A challenging role combining business analysis, process improvement, compliance and innovation.
