An established life insurance and reinsurance group is looking to appoint a Director of FP&A to support enterprise-wide financial planning, capital management, and strategic decision-making.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role working closely with the CFO, Treasurer, and senior leadership team. The position offers exposure to complex transactions, executive-level reporting, and strategic initiatives across U.S., Bermuda, and Cayman insurance entities.

The Role

  • Lead financial analysis across business performance, profitability, capital allocation, and strategic growth initiatives.

  • Build and enhance integrated three-statement financial models for forecasting, valuation, long-term planning, and capital management.

  • Support enterprise-wide financial projections, translating financial, actuarial, investment, and capital data into actionable insights.

  • Prepare executive presentations, board materials, and financial reporting for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Partner with investments, actuarial, treasury, accounting, and corporate development on M&A, reinsurance transactions, and other strategic initiatives.

  • Enhance FP&A reporting, data infrastructure, and automation, including opportunities to leverage Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

  • Independently lead complex, cross-functional projects while providing technical guidance to junior team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience across FP&A, corporate finance, insurance finance, actuarial, valuation, or a related discipline.

  • Life insurance and annuity industry experience, ideally with exposure to financial statements, capital management, reinsurance, and forecasting.

  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and quantitative analysis skills, with advanced Excel proficiency.

  • Experience presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior executives and other key stakeholders.

  • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, or similar data platforms is advantageous.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field. CFA, CPA, FSA, or MBA is a plus.
