Director of Product – Infrastructure & Operations

Contract-to-Hire | W2 | 3-Month Initial Contract | $200K-$230K Permanent Salary | REMOTE

We are seeking a Director of Product – Infrastructure & Operations to lead Product across a broad Infrastructure & Operations organization.

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced Product leader or IT/Technology leader with strong Product expertise who can define product strategy, establish effective operating models, and lead and develop a team.

The initial engagement is W2 contract for 3 months, with the intention to convert to a permanent position at $200,000-$230,000.

The Role

You will lead 7 direct reports, bringing greater structure and consistency to Product Management across:

  • Cloud & Infrastructure – AWS, Mainframe, Data Centres, Networking
  • Employee Experience – End-user devices, ServiceNow, Service Desk
  • Engineering & Operations – DevOps, CI/CD, Incident Management, MFT

You will work closely with senior IT, Engineering, Enterprise Product, and business stakeholders to drive product-led transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate Product vision, strategy, and roadmaps
  • Establish Product Management frameworks, operating models, and standards
  • Lead, develop, and mentor 7 direct reports
  • Align Product Managers and Product Owners around a consistent approach
  • Improve product prioritization, backlogs, roadmaps, and delivery
  • Translate complex technology and infrastructure needs into effective products and services
  • Drive major technology transformation initiatives
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and challenge existing ways of working

What We’re Looking For

We are open to candidates from a broader range of backgrounds than Infrastructure but Product Management experience is essential.

  • Any other IT areas

The key requirements are:

  • Strong Product leadership and strategic thinking
  • Proven people management and team leadership experience
  • Experience defining or improving Product operating models, frameworks, or ways of working
  • Strong IT / Technology domain knowledge
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience with Cloud, Infrastructure, ServiceNow, DevOps, Mainframe, Data Centres, Networking, or MSP environments is valuable, but candidates do not need to have experience across every area.
