Fund Accounting Manager, Private Equity

I’m working on an opportunity for a Fund Accounting Manager to oversee fund administration delivery for a $50bn AUM private markets platform.

The role combines technical fund accounting oversight, client relationship management and team leadership across private equity and venture capital structures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a key client account.
• Oversee fund accounting, capital accounts, and financial reporting.
• Manage audit and tax processes with external providers.
• Review investor reporting and client communications.
• Lead and develop a team of Fund Controllers and Associates.
• Ensure deadlines, service standards, and client expectations are consistently met.

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of private equity, venture capital, fund administration, asset management, or public accounting experience.
• Strong partnership accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience managing client relationships and reviewing fund deliverables.
• Proven team management and development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related subject.
• CPA preferred but not required.
